Simon is a medical student at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA whose research interests center on machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in medicine. His work focuses on computational approaches that support clinical decision-making, including natural language processing, image classification, deep learning, and clinical informatics. His current projects involve automated radiation dose visualization in the electronic medical record and pharmacokinetic-informed modeling of residual sedative burden. He previously completed a postbaccalaureate fellowship at the National Human Genome Research Institute, where he studied applications of deep learning in medical genetics.
